BAROLO RISERVA VILLERO 2007 BY VIETTI, CHIANTI CLASSICO 2013 BY DIEVOLE, TASTING TIGNANELLO 1971 AT ROBERT PARKER’S "SIENA MASTER CLASS" ON TOP TUSCAN WINES - THIS IS MONICA LARNER’S “VINOUS” 2015

Barolo Riserva Villero 2007 by Vietti, Chianti Classico 2010 Gran Selezione 2010 by Isole e Olena and Bianco Ornellaia 2013 by Ornellaia Estate are the "Top 3 Favorite New Releases” by Monica Larner, "Italian" signature for Robert Parker (www.erobertparker.com), who communicated her best 2015 wine moments in a post.
The "Top 3 Favorite Value Wines" instead include Fiano di Avellino 2013 by Ciro Picariello, Soave Classico Vigneti di Foscarino 2013 by Inama and Chianti Classico 2013 by Dievole. Further, among Larner’s "Top 3 Greatest Drinking Wine Experiences", Monica wrote, “I was lucky enough to taste Marchesi Antinori’s bottle number 73.974 of Tignanello 1971 during a re-corking ceremony of older vintages, which in itself was an experience I will never forget”. And, tasting Cerasuolo di Vittoria 1988 by Cos, which was “Giusto Occhipinti’s last bottle that I would have never asked him to open, but he wanted to share it with me”.
The vertical of all 28 vintages produced by the Sangiovese symbol Montevertine, Le Pergole Torte, was memorable, “the owner Martino Manetti had the tasting conducted in one of the contrade (city districts) in Siena, called Lupa (wolf) and without a doubt the best was the only reserve produced so far, vintage 1990”.
Finally, in "vinous" terms, the best retrospective of 2015 was the "Siena Master Class" that Robert Parker held in the city of the Palio, Siena, in October, on the historic wines of Tuscany, Montalcino and Bolgheri: from Brunello di Montalcino 2006 Cerbaiona, to Brunello di Montalcino 2006 Salvioni, Brunello di Montalcino 2004 Cerretalto Casanova dei Neri, Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2006 Soldera (Case Basse), Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 1955 Biondi Santi, Masseto 2006 Ornellaia Estate, Bolgheri Guado al Tasso 2001 Marchesi Antinori, Paleo 2001 Macchiole, Redigaffi 200 Tua Rita and Sassicaia Tenuta 1985 San Guido.
