Prospects good for Italian wine this year … The outlook for this autumn's Italian wine harvest is very good, producers said today. Producers told Winenews the quality of well-known wines like Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino would be excellent. They also said the wine harvest would be 10-15% bigger than last year. Italian sparkling wine should also have a very good year, an agricultural association said. Coldiretti said vintage spumante production was likely both in southern Italy and its north-east heartland around Asti.
